Purchase of Second Brand New Komori

Rocky Mountain Printing announced the purchase of another brand new Komori LS 40 inch press. A little more than 1 year ago RMP was chosen as the Western United States show site for the Komori LS press when they purchased a brand new Komori LS 40 inch 6 color. Since that time the press has proven its value and a second press will be installed in April. Both presses are 6 color presses with aqueous coating, fully computerized make-ready and closed loop color control system. The new press has a perfecting unit which makes it possible to print both sides of the sheet in one pass. The Komori LS press has the fastest sheet fed makeready in the world while running at speeds of 16,000 sheets per hour. "We are one of a hand full of printing companies in the world with two Komori LS presses." Says Teague Bengtzen, President of Rocky Mountain Printing.
